Pipe Restoration Turns a No-Win Situation into a Win-Win Situation
Pinhole Leaks In Copper Pipe & Relining
The Problem:
This hotel had pinhole leaks in its copper pipe system. Known problems resulting from copper pipe corrosion had been repaired by conventional methods. A complete copper pipe repair and repipe would have involved long downtime, asbestos removal and complete renovation of all bathroom fixtures. Talk about a loss of revenue and a tremendous amount of guest inconvenience. A no-win dilemma.
The restoration of the piping system in this 171 room historic hotel was completed in two stages over a 90-day period. During this time the hotel remained in operation.
The Solution:
ACE DuraFlo completed the pipe relining restoration in this 171 room historic hotel in two stages over a 90-day period. During this entire time, the hotel remained in operation. After three years, not a single new pinhole leak has returned to the structure. Prior to ACE DuraFlo, pinhole leaks had been an ongoing recurring problem. The hotel engineer noted that increased water flow and improved water conservation are added results of the ACE DuraFlo pipe restoration. For the hotel’s general manager Paul Ishii, ACE DuraFlo Systems solution meant “short timelines, no wholesale copper pipe repair or replacement, no walls cut, no mess, less cost and no guest inconvenience.”
What else could one ask for?
